After more than six months, a state probe into alleged financial irregularities at a publicly funded counseling center in East Greenbush remains unfinished.
In the meantime, volunteers who helped manage Tools Project Inc. and the building where it was based continue the task of dismantling the organization, while eager for a resolution to the controversy.
Government funding for the project was terminated last June after documents indicated the leasing of a $95,000 Bentley automobile and the maintenance of bank accounts and loans by paid agency officials that were not authorized by the agency's board of directors. …
