NSW: Man escapes after plane crash in Scone

SYDNEY, Dec 11 AAP - A man has walked away with only minor injuries after crash landing
his plane in a paddock in the state's mid north.

The 52-year-old man escaped with slight injuries after bringing his light plane down
in the field in Scone yesterday, police said.

The accident happened shortly after the Air Tractor took off from Scone Airport just
after 4pm (AEDT) after the pilot discovered it was losing power and did not respond to
throttle adjustments, a police spokesman said.

The man was taken to Scott Memorial Hospital suffering a slight back injury.

The Bureau of Air Safety has been notified.
