FOSTER INDIE SPIRIT, ACTORS URGE.(CAPITAL REGION)

WOODSTOCK -- In a market choked with pseudo-indie films, it's the movies that convey real passion and spirit that set themselves apart from the slew of gritty, low-budget pictures churning out of Hollywood studios, said actors Stanley Tucci, Fisher Stevens and Liev Schreiber, who spoke Saturday morning at the Woodstock Film Festival about the current state of independent filmmaking.

The three actors, who all have experience with both major studio and independent films, spoke to a crowd of about 80 festivalgoers at the second annual film fest -- a four-day event that prides itself on being ``fiercely independent.'' …
